So the Tim Burton movie is out and Alice is everywhere.
I was bitten by the bug and made cupcakes for a friend. I personally am a big fan of the old woodblock prints. There is wall paper, a blog post bonanza and many clothing companies trying to cash in with themed outfits and tees. Trendy always sounds negative, fickle but I am amused at all the neat little projects and products popping up.
The movie can not be better then the inspiration Alice in Wonderland brings. I want tea party. I even want to play croquet. It is a great theme. Whether for kids or the young at heart I would love to see one of these in real life.
The dark side of Alice lends to her mass youth appeal. Go ask Alice was one of the first books my youngest sister and I shared. We tore through a bunch of books in that genre, but she always read much faster then me. Adolescence is such a terrible time, but it is nice to be able to pull some fond memories out of it. Reading depressing books with my little sister is one of those memories. I should probably read the orginal.
