Brit envy

Seriously all the stuff I want is from the UK. Why is overseas shipping so expensive, and why is all the cool stuff over there? Damn ... wish I was there.

Ok so the pink is terrible ... but the bride and goom pins are pretty terriffic. (source)
Or maybe $25 for just the bride and groom pins?

Feeling squirrelly

I want this.

Playing photo went pretty well, I got some of my nerves out. However my mafia princess would not let me see a single shot. :pouty: She said she wanted to maybe play with them and pick through and send me some today. I am not waiting very patiently ...

Upcoming project: Screen Printing.

The Biden Effect

Honestly I often feel like Joe Biden. I am well meaning but my words and sometimes outbursts can haunt me. Regular foot in the mouth. Which is probably why I should own this shirt:
The Obama store.

PA Brewery Adventure

Some friends took us on a scenic tour over the hills and through the snow to yummy beer goodness. Thanks friends! I was a lucky girl and got a hold of some more chocolate beer. There is Kerplunk Chocolate Stout in my fridge right now. It is smooth and sits rather light for a chocolate beer, delicious.

Looking forward to more Spring House Brews in the future, just wish it was not so far away.

We then took a little trip into downtown Lancaster to the Lancaster Brewery and got ourselves a fine sampler. They offered 'chocolate covered strawberry beer', probably an ode to Valentines Day. http://www.lancasterbrewing.com/
Big fan of samplers.

Grill Art

BYOB and aiming to please.

Nice little joint in Hamden with odd hours. Father/son art work hung on the walls for sale, and Father/son were actually dining with a group in the back of the restaurant.

The food was good without going overboard. The waitstaff was funny and everything was very reasonably priced.

london treasure hunter

So I successfully made two mother figures very happy and 2 friends of mine pretty happy during my trip. I was their gift hunter. I was to find great gifts from abroad and bring them back for their American Christmas. It was a little nerve wracking and I was not given too much direction. It was very satisfying that it worked out so well. A Buckingham palace oven mit, tea cloth with a wedding feast printed on it, a rosary from St. Pauls and an ornate cross Christmas ornament form the National Gallary. Gift #2 was a very fancy whicker basket set full of all sorts of tea goodies and sweets, also a rich red scarf from Buckingham palace.

Alex’s mom got a book of tea and a lovely golden bottle of proceco.

I also collected an assortment of teas from Harrods and other little shops. I got a few kinder eggs and some chocolates. CRUNCHIE 4 LIFE

For us, 2 ornaments. A blue hippo from the British museum and a crown from Windsor Castle.

For me, woodblocks used for printing. I have been a tad obsessed with them ever since seeing Hatch Show Prints last summer.

I had hoped to do a bit more antique vintage shopping but the whirlwind travel experience worked against us.

One Week

o I am sort of in love with IKEA's holiday decorations. if we were not leaving in a week (or had a date set for our winter wedding), then i might have loaded up. I am still tempted.
I hope to find the perfect shoe, purse, luggage and have an outline of our trip figured out by this weekend. However I cannot do any of that fun stuff until I finish my exams.
I just picked up my 24 hour take home exam and as you can see, I am fast at work ...
Why did I decided I wanted to be a Lawyer again?

I love him

A meeting of the minds, a ring and an exciting future. I am going to be Alex's wife. I was intimidated about telling people so I sent out little postcards. Here is the original image:

I am so in love.

You probably recognize this phrase (also a new one):

Pictorial Webster's: Inspiration to Completion from John Carrera on Vimeo.

Many leather bound books?
I own the non-leather version, more my speed. I really like old stamps & wood carvings & printing presses. Eventually hope to take this love to the next level.

My next coffee table

I want this. I want this. I want this.

Paradiso has to be my favorite store in Hamden. It is where Alex got my Christmas gift last year, the peacock print that I adore. Well I have always admired the pinball tables and finally looked them up.

I found his website & now I am even more set on getting one. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but someday.
